Through internships and travel opportunities, the Resnick Center connects classroom learning with real-world experience. These immersive programs allow cadets to engage directly with the history of genocide, explore contemporary global challenges, and develop the character, critical thinking, and leadership skills essential to officership.

Internships
Cadets work alongside experts and institutions on issues related to atrocity prevention, complex conflicts, international law, and human rights. These hands-on experiences build research skills, broaden perspective, and oftern serve as a springboard for continued academic and professional opportunities.

Staff Rides
Through staff rides and study travel, cadets visit historic sites, museums, and communities to experience the places and stories that shape our understanding of the past. These immersive programs encourage critical reflection, diverse perspectives, and a deeper appreciation for the lessons of history in today’s world.

The Beitler Trip
For more than 30 years, the Beitler Family Annual Holocaust Memorial Museum Visit has provided cadets with a powerful learning experience in Washington, DC. Through self-guided tours, facilitated debriefs, and seminar discussions, the trip deepens cadets’ understanding of the Holocaust and the U.S. Army’s role in ending it.
